The role involves assisting the Electronic Payments Assistant Manager in various projects, research, and assigned tasks. The primary focus areas include ACH, wires, check processing, and bill payment services. Furthermore, the position is crucial in supporting EFT Specialists by resolving and researching complex issues and maintaining an effective workflow within the EFT Services Department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the EFT Services Manager in executing all projects, financial analyses, and assigned tasks. These projects encompass but are not limited to, ACH, wires, check processing, bill pay, and mobile deposits. Ensure that all projects, financial analyses, and tasks are completed with the appropriate prioritization, implementation, and education to support newly developed businesses or processes. Meet deadlines with minimal follow-up, emphasizing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the EFT Services Department's day-to-day operations, including assigning work priorities and managing departmental workflow. Provide guidance and assistance to team members in addressing complex issues. Contribute to the process of conducting performance evaluations for department employees.
  • Lead the coordination of projects and campaigns aimed at enhancing and promoting EFT products, which include, but are not limited to, ACH origination, online wires, and bill pay.
  • Provide outstanding service to each internal and external member as defined by our Service Standards and Promises.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review and update of departmental procedures. Recommend modifications to enhance the efficiency of electronic services delivery and overall departmental production. Implement cross-training initiatives to ensure job efficiency across the team.

  • Provides outstanding service to internal and external members as defined by our service standards and promises.
  • To carry out assigned responsibilities with zero errors according to established departmental standards.
  • To complete tasks within the prescribed time frame.


Minimum Expectations of Knowledge and Skills:

Experience - Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education - A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred. A combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered instead of a degree. Certified ACH Professional preferred.

Interpersonal Skills—A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to ordinary courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually personally sensitive. It may also involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become necessary, and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and individuals) becomes necessary. Excellent oral and written communication skills are critical.

Certification- AAP Certification (preferred)

Other Skills - Excellent problem-solving/analysis skills, as well as communication, both written and verbal. Excellent conceptual thinking and analytical skills. Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.


Compliance:

Maintain knowledge with compliance training: BSA Compliance – every employee must uphold the credit union’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions with BSCU will consider the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity relevant to the department. In addition to any other assigned training courses, online BSA and OFAC courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and Compliance Department. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Fair Lending and Credit Card Act.
