The primary function of this position will be to inspire others and provide training support in all areas of the Credit Union. The Corporate Trainer ensures maximum effectiveness of employee development by developing, implementing, and conducting necessary training programs. This employee will possess exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with staff at all levels. Initiative and discernment will be required to assist in identifying training needs throughout BrightStar Credit Union. This position is high-profile and impactful across all lines of our organization. We seek a talented, results-driven professional passionate about making a difference. This position is in office only at our Cooper City location.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Participate in and conduct employee development & new hire orientation training, including job-specific systems, product knowledge, and certification training.
  • Assist in conducting needs analysis and developing programs to fulfill training needs.
  • Work with all departments of the Credit Union to develop standardized training.
  • Follow up with employees throughout the training process to assist in determining additional training needs.
  • Assist in coordinating team meetings at all facilities, preparing and distributing materials, videotaping the sessions, and producing videos and training materials for Credit Union-wide distribution.
  • Design training programs, including outlines, text, handouts, tests, exercises, and the development of quick reference guides and online tutorials.
  • Research ways to monitor and improve the member experience through various modalities, including video, literature, training sessions, and incentive programs.
  • Keep abreast of the Credit Union's computer systems and software changes.
  • Work with the Compliance & Fraud department to coordinate required regulatory training.
  • Maintain complete records of classes/seminars/schools attended by each employee for their personnel files and compliance training records.
  • Prepare and maintain all training materials.
  • Monitor ongoing product knowledge profile updates.
  • Assist with administrative tasks within the LMS (BVS) and (ADP), including instructor-led curriculum and learning program structures.
  • Research instructional training content (ADDIE).
  • Design and implement training evaluation strategies to measure learning outcomes and business impacts on the Credit Union.
  • Develop and create educational content using Articulate Storyline2 or Adobe Acrobat Software.

Performance Management:

  • Participate in and conduct employee development & new hire orientation training, including job-specific, systems, product knowledge, and certification training.
  • Assist in conducting needs assessments, job analysis, and developing programs to fulfill training needs.
  • Design training programs include outlines, text, handouts, tests, exercises, and the development of quick reference guides and online tutorials.
  • Maintain knowledge with training: BSA Compliance – every employee must uphold the credit union’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions with BSCU consider the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity relevant to the department.
  • Besides any other assigned training courses, online BSA and OFAC courses must be completed annually, as made available by the Training and Compliance Department. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Fair Lending, and Credit Card Act.

Minimum Qualifications of Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience: Four to seven years of similar or related training experience in a financial institution (i.e., credit union, etc.).
  • Education: Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint Interpersonal: Work involves extensive contact with others and is of a private and sensitive nature.

Interpersonal:

  • Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to ordinary courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually an individual oral or sensitive nature. The work will involve motivating, influencing, and training others. Outside connections become essential, and fostering sound relationships with other entities (compounded) becomes necessary, often requiring influencing and selling services to others.
  • Desired Skills: Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) credential.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Articulate Storyline2, Captivate, or Adobe Acrobat

Compliance:
