About the Role:
This individual will be responsible for the continuous development and implementation of BrightStar CU Business Banking Solutions Department. This position will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives, facilitating cross-team coordination with senior executives, and developing plans with business and support partners to sustain the development of the Business Banking Solutions Department. The role will require project management. In support of the Treasury objective, the Business Banking Solutions Manager is responsible for generating deposit growth and increasing fee income through a consultative approach to selling Treasury Management products and solutions to Credit Union Member Business Relationships. This includes both new/prospective and existing members and will require the individual to work closely with their Commercial Lending peers, Branch & Credit Union Staff, referral network, and centers of influence to consult on sales opportunities and provide the product expertise and consultation necessary to deliver the best possible solution to the business member.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and specification development of new products and the department.
- Creation of project schedules and leads regular project status meetings.
- Effectively manages the end-to-end deliveries of major Treasury initiatives (tech and non-tech)
- Partners with Treasury vendor, technology, and other LOBs to ensure collaboration progression through the delivery lifecycle.
- Build and develop product expertise to support the initiative.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to managing and identifying Treasury Management opportunity leads within the existing portfolio for expansion and retention efforts, and in working with their peers in the Commercial Lending Department regarding their targeted prospects for business development efforts.
- Responsible for meeting quarterly/annual goals and sales activity by developing and executing a strategy to generate new deposits and fee income.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Treasury Management products to educate existing and prospective Business Members on the features, benefits, and value propositions related to each service.
- Performs various activities in support of the sales function, including (but not limited to) calling on customers in-person, conducting periodic relationship reviews (in-person or via phone), and preparing all necessary sales presentations and pricing pro formats. Prepares and participates in responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP's), coordinating with third-party vendors and the Commercial Lending Department as necessary.
- Collaborates and maintains communication with their Commercial Lending Department peers and Branch partners to stay current on customer relationships and provide seamless service.
- Manages and tracks an active pipeline that focuses on sales calls, opportunities, expected revenue, pipeline stages, customer reviews, etc., for all active opportunities.
- Conducts ongoing training and education sessions for all members facing CU staff in the designated territory. This could include product presentations, consultative selling discussions, and client success stories.
- Attends business expos and networking events on a monthly basis.
- Must have the ability to perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of all Credit Union products & services is required.
Qualifications:
- Two to Five years of Treasury Management sales experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field of study or equivalent work experience in a similar field
- CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
